Save the Dates! SUMMER FESTIVAL JUNE 29, 30 & JULY 1

Be a part of South Freeport Congregational Church’s only festival this year. This is a great opportunity for our church community to celeb  ate and to welcome the larger community to join us!

FRIDAY- Daytime activities: Book sale to benefit Mission scholarships; Jewelry and art sale; plants and garden ornaments; food table and a light lunch.Friday night: Bean supper and bingo under the tent.

SATURDAY- Daytime activities: The same as Friday, but add a pie sale and lobster roll lunch under the tent.

Saturday night: Street dance sock hop with all the tunes and refreshments.

SUNDAY- Morning: Blueberry pancake breakfast under tent and a concert by Coastal Winds.

BOOK SEASON IS UPON US!  For those of you with spring cleaning on your minds, please consider donating your unwanted books to SFCC for our annual sale. Tell your friends and neighbors! If you have a particularly large load please contact me or someone on the Missions Committee and we will do our best to assist you in transporting your donation to the church basement.

In your quest to be both generous and thrifty, please do not clean out desks, send us bags of old documents, old phone books, and etc. It's distracting to read your old medical bills and love letters, and then we just have to cart it all back upstairs to the trash. Believe it or not there's already a lot of carting to be done without that!

Cook Books? Yes! Dictionaries and encyclopedias? No, thank you. To the silver bullet with them, please.

And finally: This means it's also book organizing season. We have about 8 weeks to get books organized and filtered for another record-breaking sale. I welcome all assistance! Even an hour a week would be a fantastic help. Please contact me by phone or email so I can give you a little orientation before you begin. The main reason for this is we can end up working against each other without meaning to, if we don't coordinate.
